Relationships Australia Queensland is seeking a DFV Men's Group Facilitator to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and families. You will help participants understand violence impacts, strengthen cultural identity and wellbeing, and promote respectful relationships within a healing-focused framework.

You will deliver individual counselling, group programs, and healing circles, while conducting risk assessments and safety planning to protect victim-survivors and children.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and intergenerational trauma.
• Ability to balance healing with accountability and safety.

Responsabilités

• Deliver culturally safe, trauma-aware therapeutic interventions.
• Facilitate individual counselling, group programs and healing circles.
• Support participants to recognise impacts of violence and develop respectful relationships.
• Undertake risk assessments and safety planning for victim-survivors and children.
• Provide referrals and collaborate with DFV, mental health and other services.
• Deliver community education to prevent DFV and promote healthy relationships.
• Build partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and service providers.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
