We’re looking for an experienced and engaging Male Group Facilitator to deliver group-based behaviour change programs for men who have used domestic and family violence. The role is offered on a part-time (7 days/fortnight) basis. You’ll play an important role in supporting men to take accountability for their behaviour, challenge harmful attitudes and beliefs, and develop safer, respectful ways of relating to their partners, families and communities.
Working within a trauma-informed, culturally responsive and strengths-based framework, you’ll create a safe but challenging group environment that encourages honest reflection, meaningful behaviour change and accountability, while maintaining a strong focus on victim-survivor safety. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful change and help build safer relationships and communities.
You are an empathetic, professional, and motivated individual with a strong commitment to promoting safety, respect, and accountability. You thrive in a collaborative environment, have excellent communication skills, and bring a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to your work.
RAQ has identified that this position is required to be filled by a male, as a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld). This requirement reflects the gender-specific nature of the behaviour change program and the essential role of the male facilitator in delivering the program effectively.
Annual salary on offer starts from $91,000 plus superannuation (pro rata for part-time) to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience.
Join us and experience a workplace where your wellbeing, growth, and success are our top priorities.
We are committed to a culturally safe and respectful workplace, where inclusion is embedded in how we work and support our people. We warmly encourage applications from First Nations peoples and recognise the value of lived experience in delivering meaningful outcomes for the communities we serve.
