Dematic is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our Tarneit team responsible for a brand-new automated warehouse project in Melbourne. You will work on cutting-edge material handling equipment and support installation through go-live.

Formación

• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting & problem-solving equipment faults within a maintenance environment.
• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Victorian A-Grade) or Mechanical Fitter qualification.
• Trade Qualification: Certificate III - Electrotechnology or Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining).
• Own transport and a current Australian driver's license.
• Commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Carry out equipment audits and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Fault finding and replacement of contactors, relays, field devices, etc.
• Program drives, scanners, and electronic control modules.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and ensure system reliability.
• Lubrication and belt tracking; replace bearings, chains, belts, motors and gearboxes.
• Support training of new technicians and operators as required.
• Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians with strong industrial experience to join our team. These roles are based in Tarneit, Melbourne, and will be at the forefront of servicing a brand-new, large-scale automated warehouse for our customer.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major project from the initial installation and commissioning stages through to operational go-live. You will provide high-level technical support, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to resolve incidents and breakdowns. You will get to work on industry-leading material handling equipment such as automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyors, racking, and robotics.

Initial working hours: Day shifts, Monday to Friday.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

• Trouble-shoot, problem solve, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults

Tasks and Qualifications:

ABOUT YOU - WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting & problem-solving equipment faults within a maintenance environment
• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Victorian A-Grade licence) or Mechanical Fitter
• Trade Qualification: Certificate III - Electrotechnology or Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining)
• Your own transportation and current Australian driver's license
• A commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction
• Be mechanically savvy (experience with maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems)
• Industrial controls understanding (PLC's, VFD's, HMI's, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
• Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and in a team

The following will also be highly regarded:

• PLC experience (we can provide training on Siemens S7 and SCADA systems)
• Sound experience in Microsoft Office and report writing skills
• Computerised maintenance systems experience (MEX)
• Experience with automation (conveyors and sortation systems)
