Job summary

Redland City Council is seeking Maintenance Crew Members for ongoing vacancies across the 4–5 level range. The role is permanent full time (38 hours per week) with an annual salary around 72,381 to 73,246 AUD plus 13% superannuation.

The position offers hands‑on civil maintenance work across roads, drainage, and infrastructure, with opportunities to build skills, gain qualifications and progress within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction, concrete works, drainage, or similar trades is desirable.
• Transferable skills from labouring, landscaping, parks/gardens, trades assistant roles are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work outdoors and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine civil maintenance tasks across road pavements, drainage, signage, fencing, boardwalks, and rapid response.
• Completing work safely, efficiently and to a high standard under supervision.
• Operating and maintaining plant, tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Contributing to a positive, cooperative, team‑oriented work environment.
• Using systems to action work orders, record defects and support maintenance programs.
• Following Workplace Health & Safety requirements and reporting hazards promptly.
