Redland City Council is seeking a Maintenance Crew Member - Civil Labourer specializing in asphalt and concrete works in the Brisbane region. The role involves hands-on laying, patching, pouring, screeding and finishing, with responsibilities for operating plant and heavy civil equipment.

You will log defects in asset systems, provide practical technical guidance to the team and customers, and uphold strict health, safety and environmental standards on site.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on civil labouring experience including asphalt and concrete works.
• Current Class C driver's licence (MR/HR preferred).
• Cert II/III in Civil Construction or plant tickets highly regarded.

Job Description

MAINTENANCE CREW MEMBER - Civil Labourer (Asphalt & Concrete)

About the Role: Location: Cleveland Hours: 6AM - 3PM Work Week: 9 Day Fortnight (engoy a longer weekend every 2 week) Rate: $36.81

Duties

Deliver operational maintenance for civil, asphalt, and concrete assets. Perform hands-on asphalt laying, patching, concrete pouring, screeding, and finishing. Utilise asset management systems to log and remediate defects.

Operate and maintain a range of plant, tools, and heavy civil equipment safely. Provide practical technical advice to team members and customers. Uphold strict workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven hands-on civil laboring experience with direct expertise in asphalt and concrete works. Current Class 'C' Driver's Licence (MR or HR preferred).

Physical fitness for strenuous outdoor laboring tasks. Strong commitment to workplace safety and team collaboration. Cert II/III in Civil Construction or plant tickets highly regarded.
