Job summary

St Vincent's Health Australia is seeking a Maintenance Officer for our Edgecliff facility, a full-time permanent role near Sydney. You will perform routine, planned and urgent maintenance and assist with garden tasks, serving residents in a 39-bed site.

Trade qualifications are desirable; experience in aged care is highly valued. A driver’s license, time-management skills, and on-call availability enable you to support a person-centred organisation dedicated to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Have relevant trade qualifications (desirable) in carpentry, painter, electrician or plumbing
• Relatable experience (essential) in Aged Care, Health or Community (highly desirable)
• Ability to perform maintenance works
• Hold a valid Driver's Licence (essential)
• Experience working in a varied work environment
• Customer service mindset - we are a person-centred organisation
• Planning and time management skills
• Participate in an on-call roster
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within last 6 months).
• NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine, planned, ad-hoc and urgent maintenance and garden tasks.
• Handle painting, patching and flooring repairs.
• Assist residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes.
• Assist with bathroom and handrail installations.
• Work autonomously or as part of a supportive team in aged care.
