Job summary

Novotel Sydney Darling Square, part of Accor, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team on a part-time basis in Sydney. You will support daily hotel operations by responding promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces remain in excellent condition.

You will perform routine rounds, identify equipment needing repair, and coordinate with other departments to return out-of-service areas to operation quickly.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day maintenance requests via HubOS.
• Complete daily plant rounds and identify faulty equipment.
• Coordinate with departments for works in guest rooms and public areas to restore spaces to service.
• Record all maintenance tasks and schedule preventative maintenance.

Job Description

We are currently in the hunt for a Maintenance Technician to join us on a Part Time basis. This role is ideal for someone experienced in a similar position who can confidently manage a wide range of maintenance tasks. You will support the day-to-day operation of the hotel by responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist with the day-to-day maintenance requests via HubOS
• Complete daily plant rounds and identify any equipment that appears faulty or requires repair
• Liaise with relevant departments regarding works in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring out-of-order spaces are returned to service promptly
• Accurately record all maintenance tasks (completed and outstanding), including repairs and preventative maintenance schedules

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role/hotel environment preferred
• Be self-motivated and able to work well individually and in a team
• Have the ability to work a variety of shifts across the week
• Experience in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools
