Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead safe, compliant maintenance across Victoria’s critical transport infrastructure. You will manage field crews and subcontractors, coordinate planned and reactive works, and ensure service delivery meets safety, quality and performance standards in a live operating environment.

You will work with operations, engineering, planning, safety and inventory teams to drive day-to-day service and asset reliability on long-term, high-profile contracts

Qualifications

• Experience supervising electricians, technicians and field crews in live operational environments.
• Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with the ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of traffic signals, ITS, street lighting and electrical maintenance in transport infrastructure.

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of maintenance activities across critical transport infrastructure assets. Leading field crews and subcontractors, you'll coordinate planned and reactive works, support fault response activities, and ensure services are delivered to the highest safety, quality, and performance standards. Working closely with operations, engineering, planning, safety, and inventory teams, you'll drive day-to-day service delivery, provide technical leadership in the field, and foster a positive, accountable, safety-first culture. You'll play a key role in ensuring asset reliability, achieving contractual performance targets, and delivering essential services to the communities we support.

About you

• Current Victorian A Grade Electrical Licence, White Card (Construction Induction Card), and a valid driver's licence.
• Experience and knowledge in traffic signals, ITS, street lighting, electrical maintenance, transport infrastructure, utilities, or similar field maintenance environments.
• Proven experience supervising electricians, technicians, subcontractors, and field crews in live operational environments.
• Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with the ability to interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, site layouts, and technical documentation

The VIMC contract involves the operation, maintenance and performance management of critical Intelligent Transport Systems, traffic signal assets, communications networks, electrical infrastructure and associated roadside technology across live traffic environments. These assets include traffic signal sites, signal controllers, lanterns, detector systems, pedestrian facilities, communications networks, CCTV, VMS, vehicle detection systems, over height detection, travel time systems, roadside cabinets, field devices, power supplies and associated network interfaces.
