Job summary

Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL) invites applications for a Maintenance Planner based in Gladstone. The role supports the Maintenance Department, planning and scheduling maintenance activities, coordinating resources and stakeholders to optimise asset performance while controlling costs.

The position offers a residential, full-time opportunity with a 9-day fortnight roster and relocation assistance plus subsidised private health insurance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance activities for equipment and systems within an operational area of the plant.
• Coordinate resources to execute maintenance strategies.
• Develop maintenance plans, scoping, and short- and long-term scheduling with stakeholders.
• Maintain asset integrity while meeting production and cost targets.
• Develop budgets and monthly forecasts for assigned assets.
• Maintain records in SAP Maintenance Master Data.

About Your Role

QAL has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Supervisor Planning and Governance, this role supports our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:

• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
• Planning and scheduling maintenance activities for equipment and systems within an operational area of the plant
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to maintain asset performance through condition monitoring, development of maintenance plans, work scoping, and short- and long-term scheduling
• Coordinating all resources required to effectively execute maintenance strategies
• Applying technical expertise to achieve agreed production and cost targets while maintaining asset integrity
• Developing budgets and monthly forecasts for assigned assets
• Maintaining accurate records within the Maintenance Master Data system (SAP)
