Job summary

Autumn Aged Care is seeking a reliable Maintenance Person to keep our home safe, welcoming and well-maintained for residents, visitors, and staff. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, with a varied set of duties across buildings, gardens and facilities, reporting to the leadership team.

You will handle preventative and reactive maintenance, manage grounds upkeep, and support relocations and installations while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in building, grounds or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on approach.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Excellent time management and organisation.
• Friendly communication and customer-service mindset.
• Current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building repairs and maintenance across the home.
• Maintain gardens and outdoor presentation.
• Complete preventative maintenance programs and inspections.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Carry out minor carpentry, plumbing, painting and repair works.
• Assist with furniture and equipment relocations and installations.
• Maintain safe work practices and comply with safety requirements.
• Work with external contractors and service providers as required.

Autumn Aged Care, proudly part of Infinite Aged Care, is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Person to join our team and help create a safe, comfortable and homelike environment for our residents.

This is an exciting full-time opportunity, Monday to Friday, for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys a varied role and takes pride in maintaining buildings, gardens and facilities to a high standard.

Working closely with the leadership team, you'll be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance, grounds upkeep and ensuring our home remains safe, functional and welcoming for residents, visitors and team members.

• Perform general building repairs and maintenance across the home

• Complete preventative maintenance programs and scheduled inspections
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Carry out minor carpentry, plumbing, painting and repair works

• Work with external contractors and service providers where required

About You

• Previous experience in building, grounds or facilities maintenance
• Demonstrated ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical hands-on approach

• Current driver's licence
• Trade qualification highly regarded but not essential
