Job summary

Glencore Mount Isa Mines is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join the Mobile Maintenance team. You will coordinate workshop parts and consumables, supporting maintenance planning and ensuring workshop operations run efficiently.

Based in Mount Isa, this 7 Days On / 7 Days Off days shift role offers career development within a global mining company and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance support, stores or parts coordination within mining/heavy industry.
• Exposure to mobile mining equipment or heavy vehicles.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with SAP or CMMS is valued.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate dispatch and receipt of maintenance parts to support workshop rebuild and maintenance activities.
• Work with planners, supervisors and warehouse personnel to ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Monitor parts availability and communicate supply risks or delays.
• Order parts, track deliveries and follow up outstanding purchase requests.
• Receive, inspect and organize incoming parts within designated staging areas.
• Coordinate collection and delivery of parts across the operation.
• Maintain workshop consumable stock levels.
• Manage excess inventory registers and identify opportunities to reduce surplus stock.
• Process catalogue additions and maintain SAP data.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency and reduce waste.
• Complete general administrative tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Promote a safe, collaborative and customer-focused working environment.
