Job summary

St Vincent's Care Services provides maintenance and grounds support for a large aged care facility in Carseldine, Brisbane. The Maintenance Officer will handle routine, planned, and reactive tasks, including painting, flooring repairs, and grounds work, supporting residents with daily needs.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 0700-1500 with on-call duties as required. Trade qualifications in carpentry/plumbing are desirable and checks (CHC/NDIS) are essential as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Hold a current valid Driver's Licence and ability to drive a truck (essential).
• Experience and ability to carry out maintenance repairs and provide grounds support.
• Planning and time management skills.
• Willing to apply for Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (essential)
• Willing to apply for a NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance repairs (painting, patching, flooring).
• Carry out grounds and garden maintenance (pruning, mowing).
• Assist residents with daily maintenance needs (TV remotes, sensor adjustments).
