Job summary

St Vincent's Care in Melbourne is seeking a Casual Personal Care Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and to maintain their wellbeing in a caring household setting.

You will work across shifts, uphold resident rights, and follow care plans, with training and resources provided by a leading Catholic not-for-profit provider in Australia.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support-Aged Care or equivalent is essential.
• 6 months+ experience in residential aged care, especially with dementia, is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with aged care principles and resident rights.
• Ability to follow care plans and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support for residents’ activities of daily living.
• Support residents to maintain routine, lifestyle, and independence.
• Collaborate with household team to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
• Maintain accurate records using AutumnCare or similar software.
• Adhere to care plans and NDIS screening requirements.
