Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT – Lavington NSW is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Officer to keep resident environments safe, comfortable and welcoming. The role is based primarily at Lavington Residential Aged Care (4 days/week) with one day/week at Palm Villa Independent Living Units, focusing on buildings, gardens and living spaces to the highest standard.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs (basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and building work).
• Maintain outdoor spaces with gardening and grounds maintenance, mowing, hedging, sweeping, hosing and upkeep.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance per site schedules.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests within designated areas.
• Monitor maintenance works for regulatory compliance.

The Opportunity

Full-Time Maintenance Officer | Lavington Residential Aged Care & Palm Villa Independent Living

Join our dedicated team and make a meaningful difference every day. We're seeking a hands-on and dependable Maintenance Officer who takes pride in creating safe, comfortable, and welcoming environments for our residents. Based primarily at our Lavington Residential Aged Care home (4 days per week) and supporting Palm Villa Independent Living Units (1 day per week), you'll play an essential role in ensuring our facilities, gardens, and living spaces are maintained to the highest standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll take ownership of general maintenance across buildings, grounds and assets, including:

• Carrying out general maintenance and repairs (basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and building work)
• Keeping our outdoor spaces looking their best with gardening and grounds maintenance, mowing, hedging, sweeping, hosing and general upkeep
• Completing planned preventative maintenance in line with site schedules
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests across your designated areas
• Monitoring maintenance works to ensure regulatory compliance
• Actively contributing to Work Health & Safety practices
