Job summary

Meath Care, a Not-for-Profit Aged Care Service Provider operating across the Perth Metro Area, seeks a self-motivated Maintenance Officer for our Kingsley team. This casual role covers absences and supports ongoing projects, with three days of work per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) for 3–6 months.

The ideal candidate will have property/building/grounds maintenance experience, a trade background, and the ability to coordinate external contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in property/building/grounds maintenance is essential.
• Trade background is desirable.
• Aged care experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of air conditioning and plumbing is preferred.
• Experience coordinating external contractors.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Organised with good attention to detail.
• Must hold Australian Driver's Licence.
• National Police Certificate current (not older than six months).
• Australian working rights are essential requirements for this position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and carry out property/building/grounds tasks including painting and waste disposal.
• Coordinate external contractors and manage small projects as required.
• Assist with daily maintenance duties and respond to maintenance requests.
• Work autonomously and as part of a team within a casual, flexible schedule.
• Support coverage of absences and contribute to site projects as needed.
• Role is based in Kingsley, with on-site duties.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and committed Maintenance Officer to join our Kingsley team on a casual basis. This role is a casual position and will support the coverage of absences and do additional project as required. The team currently need additional resources for at least 3 days of work a week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for the next 3 - 6 months.

• Previous experience in property/building/grounds maintenance, painting, waste disposal is essential;
• A trade background is desirable;
• Previous aged care experience is desirable;
• Ability to understand air conditioning and plumbing particulars;

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team;
• Ability to be organised and an eye for detail;
