Job summary

Elderly Care in Queensland is seeking a passionate Maintenance Officer to join our Ashgrove facility on a full-time basis. You will perform a range of maintenance tasks, support building projects, and help keep our residents' environment safe and comfortable.

The role requires hands-on experience in handyman or building trades, the White Card, and the ability to work independently or with a team while communicating effectively with residents, families, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience across handyman, commercial maintenance, building or construction fields.
• Proficient in carpentry, tiling, painting, plastering or related maintenance tasks.
• White Card holder is advantageous.
• Must obtain Police Check as per Aged Care Act 1997.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance projects within set time frames with minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Competence in performing various maintenance tasks, from basic repairs to complex projects.
• Previous hands-on experience in handyman, commercial maintenance, building, or construction industries.
• Skills in carpentry, tiling, painting, plastering, labouring, property maintenance, or handyman tasks.
• Experience in facility maintenance.
• Possession of a White Card is advantageous.
• Successful completion of a Police Check is required.
