Airport Parking in Melbourne is seeking a Maintenance Officer/ Handyman to join our group of companies. The role is hands-on, managing maintenance, assets and infrastructure across VIC, SA and QLD, with travel as required and after-hours calls when needed.
Reporting to the Business Owner and General Managers, you will perform general maintenance tasks, develop asset maintenance schedules, create process documentation and drive cost efficiencies.
Andrew's Airport Parking is Australia’s largest off airport parking group with four independently operating branches located in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Our group also has a range of tenants and other business interests including a Car Rental business operating in all three states.
An outstanding opportunity now exists to join us as Handyman/ Maintenance Officer across all of our businesses where you will be providing hands on handyman services and managing a range of maintenance related tasks across our Group of Companies.
Working closely with the Business Owner and General Managers, the successful candidate will enjoy a challenging, highly hands-on role to manage and maintain all maintenance, assets and infrastructure, both owned and leased.
This role involves independently undertaking general maintenance and repairs, personally completing the work wherever possible and engaging external contractors only when tasks fall outside their skills or capabilities. The position is hands-on and focused on managing and completing maintenance tasks and responsibilities directly, rather than managing a team or department.
Assets and infrastructure include but are not limited to warehouses, offices, hardstand and gardens, fleet vehicles and IT hardware.
This is a Monday to Friday role however, as we operate 24/7, some out-of-hours contact will be required. The role will also involve substantial interstate travel across VIC, SA and QLD.
Reporting directly to the Business Owner and General Managers you will possess excellent communication skills, be well organized and a natural problem solver. We expect you have solid hands on management experience, financial literacy and will certainly be proficient using common software, such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
This is a newly created position, offering the opportunity to shape the role to suit your skills and experience. It is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is looking for a practical, flexible role, potentially suited to someone transitioning towards retirement while remaining active and involved.
Salary $90K - $110K + superannuation (depending on experience)
