Trident Services Australia Pty is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Brisbane Airport. This site-based role supports day-to-day maintenance in a busy airport environment, carrying out planned and reactive tasks to keep the site safe and operational.

Ideal candidates have solid maintenance experience, practical skills and can work independently, with a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in facilities, building, property or general maintenance.
• Proactive approach and ability to work independently.
• Basic computer/smartphone skills and willingness to use mobile systems.
• Trade qualification is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Carry out general repairs and minor building maintenance.
• Conduct routine facility and asset inspections.
• Identify issues and follow through to completion.
• Log, update and close maintenance tasks in the system.
• Liaise with site management, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support specialist contractors when required.
• Maintain accurate records and work safely per WHS rules.

Facilities Maintenance Technician – Brisbane Airport

Looking for a stable, hands-on maintenance role where you can take ownership of your work?

Trident Services Australia is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Brisbane Airport.

This is a practical, site-based role supporting the day-to-day maintenance of a busy airport environment. You’ll work across planned and reactive maintenance, inspections, minor repairs and general facilities tasks, helping keep the site safe, presentable and operating smoothly.

A trade qualification would be highly regarded, but it is not essential. What matters most is that you have solid maintenance experience, practical skills, a proactive approach and are comfortable working independently.

What you'll be doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Completing planned and reactive maintenance activities
• Carrying out general repairs and minor building maintenance
• Conducting routine facility and asset inspections
• Identifying maintenance issues and following them through to completion
• Responding to maintenance requests and prioritising work appropriately
• Logging, updating and closing maintenance tasks in the maintenance system
• Using a mobile phone to manage and complete work orders
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection records
• Liaising with site management, contractors and airport stakeholders
• Supporting specialist contractors when required
• Identifying and reporting hazards or maintenance risks
• Working safely and in accordance with site and WHS requirements

About you

You’ll be someone who enjoys practical work, can solve problems and takes pride in getting things done properly.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in facilities, building, property or general maintenance
• Strong practical or handyperson skills
• The ability to undertake minor repairs confidently and safely
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Basic computer and smartphone skills
• The ability to learn and use simple mobile-based systems (training will be provided)
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A strong awareness of workplace health and safety
• Experience within an airport, shopping centre, commercial facility or other large operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Hours and roster

This is a permanent full-time position based at Brisbane Airport.

The role operates across two shift options:

6:00am–2:00pm

10:00am–6:00pm

There may be flexibility for the successful candidate to work a preferred shift on an ongoing basis, or to rotate between the two shifts in conjunction with another team member, depending on operational requirements and team coverage.

Due to the nature of airport operations, you will also need to be available to work public holidays where rostered.

Airport requirements

The successful candidate must be able to:

• Obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Successfully complete required pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
