Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Maintenance Officer on a permanent, full-time basis (38 hours per week) to support the Property, Buildings & Beach Services unit. The role involves general building maintenance, repairs, and safe work practices across the Northern Beaches community.

• Carry out general building and property maintenance tasks, including installation, repair and adjustment of locks, handles, gates and fences.
• Manage daily customer maintenance tasks and workloads efficiently and on time.
• Provide effective communication and build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to WHS workplace safety standards and conduct risk assessments.

Salary Range: $71,935.14 to $83,600.28 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Our opportunity:

1. 1) To carry out general building and property maintenance, including the installation, repair and adjustment of locks and handles, gate and fence repairs, installation of shelving and brackets, removal and assembly of flat-pack furniture, plus other general building maintenance tasks.
2. 2) The management of daily customer maintenance tasks and workloads efficiently and in a timely manner.
3. 3) To provide effective communication and, focusing on building strong relationships with direct staff and all stakeholders.
4. 4) To ensure adherence to council WHS workplace safety standards by conducting risk assessments and enforcing safe work practices.
