Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Maintenance Officer on a permanent full-time basis (38 hours per week) to maintain Council facilities across the coast. The role focuses on general building maintenance, repairs and safe operations, with a customer-service focus to respond to daily tasks and requests from staff and stakeholders.

You’ll work to ensure WHS standards are met, coordinate with teams, and support the smooth running of premises.

Salary Range: $71,935.14 to $83,600.28 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Our Opportunity

The key focus areas of this role include:

• To carry out general building and property maintenance, including the installation, repair and adjustment of locks and handles, gate and fence repairs, installation of shelving and brackets, removal and assembly of flat-pack furniture, plus other general building maintenance tasks.
• The management of daily customer maintenance tasks and workloads efficiently and in a timely manner.
• To provide effective communication and, focusing on building strong relationships with direct staff and all stakeholders.
• To ensure adherence to council WHS workplace safety standards by conducting risk assessments and enforcing safe work practices.
