Job summary

Think Commercial in Cairns is seeking a motivated Maintenance Officer on a casual basis. Based in the heart of the city, you will handle a wide range of repairs and routine maintenance across properties, coordinating with the Brisbane team and Operations Manager to keep sites safe, well-presented, and performing smoothly.

You will perform repairs in plumbing, patching and painting, gardening and general tasks, weekends as needed, and provide support to contractors.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and experience in maintenance (plumbing, patching and painting, gardening, general maintenance repairs).
• Fit and able to complete work outdoors.
• Ability to work weekends as needed.
• Ability to work independently.
• Current Australian Driver’s License (Manual).
• Able to prioritise and organise multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Attending to general repairs and maintenance
• Completing daily task requests efficiently and professionally
• Coordinating with external contractors and suppliers as required
• Conducting routine property inspections and identifying maintenance needs
• Providing prompt support in response to urgent maintenance issues
• Maintaining accurate records of completed work and materials used
• Assisting contractors with major repairs as needed
• Allowing access for contractors to site
• Help clean as required
• On call for other duties as required
