Job summary

Randstad in Australia is recruiting a hands-on leader to drive a multi-million-dollar plant expansion. Based at our Taree facility, this role will lead the setup of a major casting line while optimizing ongoing operations.

You will direct daily maintenance, oversee contractor workflows, and ensure safety, quality, and lean practices across mechanical and electrical teams, driving timely project delivery and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree or trade credential in mechanical, electrical, or related industrial field.
• Background: Proven track record in industrial/production facilities managing capital expenditure projects and technical teams.
• Skills: Excellent technical troubleshooting, vendor oversight, timeline execution, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
• Focus: Commitment to workplace health and safety protocols and lean operational practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end machinery setup, testing, and operational launch for new line installations.
• Direct daily maintenance efforts, manage contractor workflows, and collaborate with internal partners to hit key project targets.
• Implement strategic preventative maintenance routines to boost equipment uptime and long-term performance.
• Direct project timelines, complete regulatory documentation, track milestone metrics, and refine technical processes.
• Enforce rigorous safety, quality, and technical standards across all mechanical and electrical operations.
