Job summary

Randstad in Taree, NSW, seeks a senior operations leader to drive a major casting line setup and optimize ongoing plant operations at our metal packaging facility.

You will oversee end-to-end machinery installations, lead maintenance, ensure safety, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project targets and uphold quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree or trades credential in mechanical/electrical or related field.
• Proven track record in industrial facilities managing capital projects and technical teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, vendor oversight, and timeline execution skills.
• Commitment to health and safety and lean operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end machinery setup, testing, and operational launch for new line installations.
• Direct daily maintenance efforts, manage contractor workflows, and collaborate with internal partners to hit key project targets.
• Implement strategic preventive maintenance routines to boost equipment uptime and long-term performance.
• Direct project timelines, complete regulatory documentation, track milestone metrics, and refine technical processes.
• Enforce rigorous safety, quality, and technical standards across all mechanical and electrical operations.

What You Bring

• Qualifications: Tertiary degree or trade credential in mechanical, electrical, or a related industrial field.

• Background: Proven track record in industrial or production facilities managing capital expenditure works and technical teams. High-speed assembly, canning, or food processing experience is advantageous.

• Skills: Excellent technical troubleshooting, vendor oversight, timeline execution, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
