Job summary

On Line Recruitment is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to join a well-established food and beverage manufacturing operation in the Shoalhaven area. Reporting to the COO and General Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations across production, packaging and logistics, ensuring workflow and resources are running efficiently, with hands-on leadership of a production team.

This role requires a trade or technical background, strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach

About the Opportunity

Are you ready to take ownership of plant operations and make a genuine impact on how a manufacturing operation runs?

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to join a well-established food and beverage manufacturing operation in the Shoalhaven area.

Reporting to the COO and General Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations across production, packaging and logistics, ensuring workflow, resources and processes are running efficiently.

This is a hands-on operational role where you'll work closely with the production team, coordinate workflow and resources, troubleshoot issues and identify practical opportunities to improve the way the plant operates.

We're looking for someone with a strong trade or technical background and proven experience in plant operations, who can hit the ground running and take ownership of the day-to-day running and ongoing performance of the site.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating production, packaging and logistics requirements across the operation
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure production and logistics requirements are met
• Providing hands-on technical troubleshooting and support across the plant
• Identifying opportunities to improve production processes, systems and workflow
• Coordinating and managing a team of production and operational staff
• Supporting a strong focus on safety, quality and efficient production
• Monitoring day-to-day plant operations and addressing issues as they arise

About You

We're looking for someone who is practical, technically minded and confident coordinating people and production requirements.

Ideally, you will have:

• A trade or technical background, such as Fitter & Turner, Electrical or a similar discipline
• Hands-on experience within a manufacturing space
• Previous experience coordinating production and logistics
• Experience supervising or managing a team of workers
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
• A practical approach to implementing new systems and improving processes
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

Requirements

• Trade or technical qualification is highly desirable
• Previous production and logistics coordination experience
• Demonstrated team management or supervisory experience
• Full Australian working rights
• Current Driver's Licence
