Job summary

Coastal Letting Co on the Gold Coast is seeking a hands-on maintenance person to keep holiday homes in top shape between guest stays. This full-time role covers Surfers Paradise to Coolangatta, with time split between Surfers Paradise and Burleigh Heads.

You'll tackle repairs, fittings and general upkeep, respond to urgent guest requests, and coordinate with licensed trades for bigger issues while staying friendly and professional with guests and owners.

Qualifications

• Experience with general repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to manage own daily tasks and stay organised.
• Friendly and tidy appearance when interacting with guests and property owners.
• Comfortable using a phone app to receive and close out jobs.
• Current driver’s license and access to a vehicle if required.
• Hospitality or property maintenance experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Fix daily maintenance issues on properties between guest stays.
• Replace light globes and batteries, repair loose handles and wobbly furniture.
• Assemble and install furniture, mount TVs and wall fittings.
• Patch and touch-up painting and perform minor repairs.
• Conduct pool and BBQ checks and general outdoor tidying.
• Pickup and drop off supplies, keys and equipment.
• Report larger issues for licensed trades.
• Respond to urgent guest requests on the day.
• Handle tasks that do not require a licensed trade.

Job description

Coastal Letting Co is the largest short term letting business on the Gold Coast. We manage over 250 holiday homes and apartments across the Gold Coast. Our guests expect everything to work when they walk in the door, and our owners trust us to look after their properties. That’s where you come in.

The role

You’ll be our go-to maintenance person, keeping properties in top shape between guest stays. It’s a full-time role based on the Gold Coast, splitting time between Surfers Paradise and Burleigh Heads, working across properties from Surfers to Cooly.

What you’ll be doing

• Fixing the everyday stuff: sticky doors, loose handles, broken blinds, wobbly furniture
• Changing light globes, batteries and remote batteries
• Assembling and replacing furniture, mounting TVs and wall fittings
• Patching, touch-up painting and minor repairs
• Pool and BBQ checks, plus general outdoor tidy-ups
• Picking up and dropping off supplies, keys and equipment
• Reporting bigger issues so we can book the right licensed trade
• Responding to urgent guest jobs on the day
• Anything that needs a licence (electrical, plumbing, gas) goes to our trades. You handle everything else.
