Stayco Limited on the Gold Coast is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Person/Handyman to join a small, friendly team at a resort. You will be responsible for day to day maintenance of apartments, facilities and grounds, reporting to the GM.

The role requires initiative, the ability to work under pressure and to provide great guest service. Experience in hospitality maintenance is preferred but not essential, and you will work across guest and staff areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in a grounds/maintenance position in a busy hospitality environment is preferred, but not essential.
• Ability to relate to people from all walks is essential.
• Pool treatment/maintenance experience is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Provide maintenance support for apartments, facilities and grounds, including refurbishment and furniture removal/installation.
• Assist guests as required.
• Maintain appearance of resort grounds, apartments and gardens to high standards; ongoing lawn maintenance.
• Ensure daily cleaning duties are performed to high standards.
• Train and support other maintenance staff and cleaners when required.
• Complete scheduled maintenance tasks professionally and timely.
• Maintain records of tasks and inventory.
• Some cleaning of public areas such as car park, fountains and surrounding areas.
• Paint work and patching in rooms as required.
• Coordinate contractors and order stock.
• Cover cleaning shifts when required.
