Job summary

Aveo is seeking a Maintenance Officer at Bella Vista Haven in Sydney. You will handle day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and contractor coordination to keep the village running smoothly and safely for residents.

The role requires a trade background or strong domestic maintenance experience, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication with residents and staff. Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, permanent full-time position in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a general maintenance or trade-based role.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach; able to troubleshoot.
• Understanding of maintenance cycles and assets in a village setting.
• Clear, confident communication with residents.

Responsibilities

• Work with Aveo Facilities and contractors to ensure high-quality external works.
• Regularly inspect the village to rectify defects.
• Perform basic plumbing maintenance (replacing taps and washers).
• Support upkeep of external assets such as lighting and sprinklers.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance across the community.
