Job summary

Aveo Group in Newstead, QLD is seeking a Maintenance Officer to keep homes and shared spaces safe, functional and well presented. You will manage reactive and preventive maintenance, perform handyperson tasks, and engage positively with residents in a luxury retirement community.

This permanent full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm. The ideal candidate has a trade background or hands-on maintenance experience, holds a current driver\'s license, and has COVID-19 vaccinations.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance or trade-based roles with hands-on tasks.
• Clear and confident communication with residents while explaining maintenance works.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and handyperson tasks (painting, hanging items, light replacements).
• Carry out small plumbing maintenance (replace taps and washers).
• Support external asset upkeep (lighting, sprinklers).
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance across the community.
