Job summary

Aveo is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Bella Vista Haven, a vibrant retirement community in Sydney's Hills District. You’ll lead day-to-day maintenance, coordinate contractors, and ensure safe, well-maintained facilities for residents.

This full-time, Monday–Friday role focuses on hands-on problem solving and strong teamwork within a supportive culture. Ideal candidates have a trade background or strong domestic maintenance experience, a valid driver’s licence, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Experience in a general maintenance or trade-based role.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with ability to troubleshoot and take action.
• Understanding of maintenance cycles and equipment lifespan.
• Clear, resident-friendly communication skills.
• Great attention to detail
• Positive, approachable attitude and pride in work
• A valid driver’s licence (essential)
• Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)

Responsibilities

• Work with the Aveo Facilities team and contractors to ensure external works are attended to and completed to a high standard
• Conduct regular inspections around the village to rectify any maintenance defects and issues
• Performing small plumbing maintenance, including replacing taps and washers
• Supporting the upkeep of external assets such as lighting and sprinkler systems
• Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance across the community
• Managing community tools and equipment to ensure they are safe, organised and fit for purpose
• Prepare and program access swipes for residents or family members
• Recording maintenance activities, notes and job updates
• Being a friendly and approachable presence for residents while working closely with a supportive team

The Opportunity

Bella Vista Havenis a vibrant, resort‑style retirement community in Sydney’s Hills District, where modern living, strong connections and everyday convenience create an exceptional retirement experience. As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be working closely alongside your fellow Maintenance Officer, the residents and fellow staff, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks around our retirement village. No two days are the same. From completing repairs and maintenance tasks to coordinating contractors and helping maintain our beautiful grounds and facilities, you'll be at the heart of creating an environment that residents are proud to call home. This role is perfect for someone with a trade background or strong maintenance experience who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and building positive relationships. This is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday (8:00am-4:00pm)

Whatyou'llbring
