Job summary

Norwest Christian College in Riverstone NSW is seeking an experienced Maintenance Bus Driver and General Assistant to join a small, efficient team. The role covers maintenance of campus facilities, bus transportation for students, and ongoing site improvements.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith.
• Attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple tasks and activities in parallel.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills.
• Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
• Landscaping/trade experience is desirable but not essential.
• Bus driver's licence preferred or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and minor improvements across school buildings, grounds, and facilities.
• Drive the school bus for student transport, excursions, and events, ensuring safe and responsible operation.
• Conduct routine inspections across the campus and buses to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and compliance issues.
• Manage and maintain school equipment, tools, storage areas, and maintenance logs.
• Support school operations by setting up classrooms, events, furniture, and equipment as required.
• Coordinate with external contractors and staff to ensure timely and effective completion of works.
• Assist with College AV requirements, including setup and troubleshooting for events and learning spaces.

The College is currently seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated full-time Maintenance Bus Driver and General Assistant. This position will be part of a small, highly efficient team, that ensures that the College campus is safe and well presented, and maintains and updates College facilities to meet the needs of our growing community.

Your Role:
