Job summary

Brightwaters Christian College is seeking a bus driver for a part-time role (28 hours per fortnight) during school term times, with a casual option. The position starts as soon as possible and involves transporting students safely on designated routes and maintaining a welcoming, well‑managed bus environment.

You will join a committed Christian team at Brightwaters Christian College, a Co‑ed, NSW school on Lake Macquarie’s western shore, committed to student wellbeing and safe transport.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working with children.
• Valid driver’s licence or willingness to obtain MR licence (costs covered by Brightwaters Christian College).
• Excellent driving record and commitment to passenger safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability and punctuality to ensure timely transportation.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes.
• Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere, building strong relationships with students.
• Adhere to the allocated schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
• Maintain a clean and tidy bus interior, promoting a comfortable environment.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while operating the bus.
• Safely load and unload students at designated stops, ensuring well-being and order.

About The Role
