Calvary Christian College Springwood and Carbrook is seeking a Bus Driver to operate morning and afternoon routes across Springwood and Carbrook campuses. The role may include additional hours for student excursions, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliable service.

You will work within a Christian school community, ensuring clear communication with staff, parents and students, and adhering to the college’s values and codes of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Prompt communication with staff, parents and students.
• Perform minimum checks on your allocated bus (water, oil, cleaning).
• Supervise students and maintain a safe environment.
• Provide safe transport to and from the College for students and staff.
• Coordinate bus requirements for excursions and maintenance.
• Lead, promote and demonstrate the principles and values of a Christian Education at Calvary.
• Participate in staff retreats and College worship sessions.

Role Overview

Working alongside a team of Bus Drivers, this role will have the responsibility for driving a College bus for the morning and afternoon bus routes. Additional hours may be required for student excursions.

Responsibilities

Working independently and with a support team you will:

• Ensure a high standard of prompt communication with fellow staff, parents and students.
• Ensure the minimum checks are undertaken on your allocated bus e.g. checks on water, oil, cleaning of bus.
• Be responsible for effectively supervising students whilst maintaining a safe environment for all.
• Provide safe transport to and from the College for Students and Staff.
• Undertake bus administration duties (e.g. coordinate bus requirements for excursions, maintenance etc)
• Lead, promote and demonstrate the principles and values of a Christian Education at Calvary.
• Participate in staff retreats and College worship sessions.

Requirements

It is a requirement of this role that you hold the following licenses –

• Current Light Rigid heavy vehicle license
• Current Drive Authorisation Card
• Current working with Children Suitability Blue Card

This role is based across our Springwood and Carbrook Campuses.

Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated competence in driving passenger buses, including coaches.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and a capacity to quickly develop authentic relationships.
• Outline how your faith and beliefs align with ours as a Christian College.
