Aveo Group is seeking a Maintenance Gardener for Bridgeman Downs Retirement Village in Brisbane's northern suburbs. You will manage day-to-day gardening and grounds maintenance, ensuring safety and visual appeal, while engaging positively with residents.

Aufgaben

• Attend to maintenance requests to create a safe, pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Maintain village gardens: weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching, green waste removal.
• Ensure community spaces are appealing and safe for residents and visitors.
• Maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Carry out preventative maintenance across the community as scheduled.
• Complete ad hoc tasks delegated by Community Leaders.
• Build strong relationships with residents and help them enjoy living in well-maintained areas.

The Opportunity

Bridgeman Downs Retirement Village is a welcoming community in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, set among beautifully maintained gardens and close to Aspley Hypermarket, Westfield Chermside and Carseldine Central. Just 5km from Carseldine Train Station, the village offers easy access to the Brisbane CBD and Moreton Bay. As a Maintenance Gardener, you will be play an important role within the community, ensuring gardens, grounds and outdoor areas are safe, well maintained and visually appealing. You’ll take care of day‑to‑day gardening and grounds maintenance tasks while engaging positively with residents. This role is ideal for someone with strong gardening experience who is friendly, proactive, and enjoys a varied, hands‑on role.

This is a permanent full time opportunity working Monday to Friday (7am – 3pm).No weekend work!

Your Impact

• Attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe & pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff
• Be responsible for the maintenance of all villagegardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal
• Ensure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors
• Maintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules
• Complete additionaladhoctasks delegated to you by Community Leaders
• Build strong relationships with our residents and enjoy helping them to live their best lives with well‑maintained areas.

What you’ll bring

• Gardening or grounds experience, with a strong sense of pride and ownership in your work
• A proactive, solutions‑focused approach, with the ability to assess issues, troubleshoot and take action
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain maintenance works in a resident‑friendly way
• A positive, approachable attitude and a strong sense of pride in your work
• A valid driver’s licence (essential)
