Aveo is seeking a Maintenance Gardener for Forest Grove Retirement Living in Brisbane. The role supports safe, functional, and well-presented homes and shared spaces, performing repairs, gardening and general maintenance while engaging positively with residents.

Part-time, Monday–Thursday, 7:30–3:00. Ideal for someone with a trade background or strong domestic maintenance experience who is friendly, proactive and resident-focused.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, facilities, gardening or trade-based roles.

Responsabilités

• Perform general repairs and handyperson tasks (e.g., painting, picture hanging, replacing washers, light fixtures).
• Carry out gardening/landscaping tasks as needed.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance across the community.

The Opportunity

Forest Grove Retirement Living is a well-established community, nestled amongst 34 hectares of greenery and has a range of sought-after amenities including walking paths, a duck pond, tennis court, swimming pools, bowling green and much more. Joining our team as a Maintenance Gardener, you will play an important role within our community, ensuring that homes and shared spaces are safe, functional, and well presented. You’ll complete a range of maintenance tasks, from repairs to gardening and general handyperson work, while engaging positively with residents.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a trade background or strong domestic maintenance or gardening experience, who is friendly, proactive, and passionate about helping others.

permanent part-time position working Monday-Thursday 7.30-3pm

Your Impact

• Completing general repairs and handyperson tasks which may include items such as painting, picture hanging, replacing washers, and light replacements
• Complete adhoc gardening/landscaping tasks as needed
• Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance across the community
• Managing community tools and equipment to ensure they are safe, organised and fit for purpose
• Recording maintenance activities, notes and job updates
• Being a friendly and approachable presence for residents w while working closely with a supportive team

Whatyou'llbring

• Experience in a general maintenance, facilities, groundskeeping or any trade‑based role, including hands‑on handyperson tasks
• A proactive, solutions‑focused approach, with the ability to assess issues, troubleshoot andtake action
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain maintenance works in a resident‑friendly way
• A positive, approachable attitude and a strong sense of pride in your work
• A valid driver’s licence (essential)
