Job summary

The Cordina Group based in Girraween, NSW is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for a permanent night shift. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will perform routine maintenance, inspect equipment and respond to mechanical breakdowns to keep production lines running.

Candidates should be trade-qualified as maintenance fitters, have FMCG experience, and be capable of autonomous work with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. A forklift license is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a maintenance fitter.
• Experience in FMCG environments.
• Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Electrical license is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and manage breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Design and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Assist in development of key performance indicators.
• Manage the maintenance team operations and related activities.
• Supervise contract workers as required.

About the role:

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, we have excellent opportunities for experienced Maintenance Fittersat our Girraween site. In this role, you will be responsible routine maintenance and checks, identifying and attending to defective equipment and responding to mechanical breakdowns.

Responsibilities of this position include –

• Responding to and managing breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Designing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
• Assist in the development of key performance indicators.
• Manage the operations and related activities of the maintenance team.
• Manage contract workers as required

To be successful for this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

• At a minimum you will be trade qualified as a maintenance fitter.
• You will be able to pull on prior experience in an FMCG company where you have worked autonomously.
• Experience with trouble shooting and problem solving
• A restricted electrical license would be highly regarded, though not essential.
• You must be self-motivated, inquisitive and proactive in your work.
• The flexibility in regard to working hours which may include working overtime and will require working on a Saturday shift.
• High level of numeracy and literacy skills
