Job summary

Blackbook Executive Pty is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Fitter in Young, NSW to join a busy manufacturing operation. You will perform preventative and breakdown maintenance to maximise plant uptime and efficiency, reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader.

Ideal candidates will hold a trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter with experience in food manufacturing or heavy industry, plus strong fault-finding skills and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter required.
• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, meat processing or heavy industry preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills essential.
• Experience with conveyors, hydraulics, pumps and gearboxes desired.
• Proactive maintenance mindset with safety in focus.

Responsibilities

• Preventative and reactive maintenance across plant equipment.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

Maintenance Fitter
Young, NSW $46-$57/hr + Overtime + Penalty Rates
We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a busy manufacturing operation in Young, NSW. This role offers exposure to a wide range of plant equipment, a supportive team environment and the opportunity to work within a well-established business committed to safety, reliability and continuous improvement.

The Role Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance to ensure plant uptime and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventative and reactive maintenance across plant equipment
• Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical issues
• Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Supporting shutdown and project work
• Maintaining maintenance records and work orders
• Working safely within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Roster Rotating 5-day roster across the following shifts:

AM Shift

• 3:20am – 12:00pm

PM Shift

• 3:30pm – 12:00am

Day Shift

• 7:30am – 4:30pm

Additional Information

• Monday to Friday roster
• Weekend shift approximately every 5 weeks
• Penalty rates apply

About You To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
• Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, meat processing or heavy industry
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with conveyors, hydraulics, pumps and gearboxes
• A proactive approach to maintenance and reliability
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
