Job summary

Timbertruss in Corio/Geelong invites a Maintenance Fitter to join our team on the permanent afternoon shift (2:00pm–10:11pm), alongside fitters, electricians, planners and a manager. You’ll work across three shifts maintaining sophisticated automated equipment and driving improvements.

As a leading Australian prefab manufacturer with CNC machinery, robots and conveyors, you’ll operate in a safety-conscious culture under EBA wages and receive full tools, PPE and uniform provisions.

Qualifications

• Must have a Cert III in Mechanical Trade (C10 Fitter).
• Experience in preventative and corrective maintenance is required.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience is essential.
• Background in manufacturing maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance on advanced automated equipment.
• Carry out hands-on improvement projects and repairs across CNC machinery, robots and conveyors.
• Work safely and support continuous improvement goals on site.

We're not after someone to just turn wrenches and go home. Timbertruss runs advanced automated manufacturing - CNC machinery, industrial robots, conveyors - and we need a sharp, experienced fitter who wants real project work, continuous improvement, and a team that knows what they're doing.

About The Role

Permanent Afternoon shift to join the maintenance team (fitters, electricians, planner & manager) across three shifts. You'll handle breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and hands-on improvement projects on sophisticated automated equipment. Carry out mechanical maintenance - breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance and hands-on improvement project work - on Timbertruss Corio's advanced automated manufacturing equipment, including CNC machinery, industrial robots and conveyor systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and in support of the site's continuous improvement goals.

Selection Criteria

• Cert III - Mechanical Trade (C10 Fitter)
• Preventative and corrective maintenance experience
• Hydraulic & pneumatic experience
• Manufacturing maintenance background

• CMMS experience (we use MEX)
