Job summary

Timbertruss is Australia’s leading prefab manufacturer, delivering roof trusses, wall frames, and cassette floor panels across Australia. We are seeking a sharp maintenance fitter to work on real project and upgrade work in an advanced automated environment.

You will handle breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and hands-on improvement projects on CNC machinery, robots, and conveyors, contributing to ongoing reliability and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Mechanical Trade required.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown and preventative maintenance on automated equipment.
• Lead hands-on improvement projects with the maintenance team.
• Utilise CMMS (MEX) to manage work orders.
• Support manufacturing uptime and safety standards.

The Role Permanent day shift with a 16-person maintenance team (fitters, electricians, planner & manager) across three shifts.

You’ll handle breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and hands-on improvement projects on sophisticated automated equipment.

You'll need:

• Cert III – Mechanical Trade (C10 Fitter)
• Hydraulic & pneumatic experience
• Strong fault-finding skills
• Manufacturing maintenance background
• Highly regarded: Welding & fabrication capability
• CMMS experience (we use MEX)
• Continuous improvement mindset
