Express Employment Professionals – Norwest NSW is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to troubleshoot machinery and keep production running smoothly in a busy manufacturing operation based in Norwest. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, installations, fabrication and continuous improvement across a range of equipment.

Qualifications

• Qualified maintenance fitter with mechanical experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in a Maintenance Fitter role.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Proficient with hand and power tools; welding experience (MIG/TIG).
• Good computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work autonomously.

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Identify faults, assess repairs and replace defective components.

Are you an experienced Maintenance Fitter who enjoys troubleshooting machinery, solving mechanical problems and keeping production running smoothly?

We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join a busy manufacturing operation based in Norwest on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tradesperson looking for a varied maintenance role where no two days are the same. You'll work across a diverse range of production machinery, plant and equipment, taking ownership of preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, installations, fabrication and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair production machinery, plant and equipment.
• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, plant reliability and operational efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Mechanical Trade Fitter qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Maintenance Fitter position.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
• Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics.
• Strong knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment.
• Fabrication and welding experience, including MIG
• Basic TIG welding capabilities.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative and the ability to work autonomously.
