Job summary

Blackbook Executive seeks a Maintenance Fitter for a well-established manufacturing site in Australia. You will provide mechanical maintenance support across production machinery and site infrastructure to keep equipment reliable and downtime minimal, ensuring safe, efficient production operations.

Qualifications include a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade and proven FMCG/industrial experience, with strong pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade is required.
• Experience as a Maintenance Fitter in FMCG or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
• Mechanical fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Hydraulic maintenance and fault finding.
• Pneumatic maintenance.
• Participate in planned shutdowns and occasional overtime when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and minimise repeat breakdowns.

Job description

Maintenance Fitter

A well-established manufacturing site is looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join its maintenance team. You’ll provide mechanical maintenance support across production machinery and site infrastructure, helping keep equipment reliable, minimise downtime and ensure production runs safely and efficiently.

The Role

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance across manufacturing equipment
• Mechanical fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs
• Hydraulic maintenance and fault finding
• Pneumatic maintenance
• Participate in planned shutdowns and occasional overtime when required
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and minimise repeat breakdowns

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter within FMCG or industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and see tasks through to completion

Whats on offer

• Monday to Friday – 6:45am – 3pm
• $96,956 Per annum (inclusive of super)
