Job summary

Return-It, part of Re.Group, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance and long-term infrastructure planning for our nationwide network of depots and vending machines in Australia. You will ensure sites remain safe, compliant and aligned with environmental goals, while coordinating with contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or asset management across multi-site environments.
• Experience with MEX or CMMS is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of WHS and environmental compliance obligations.
• Ability to manage budgets and external service providers.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical mindset for maintenance and performance data.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Qualifications in engineering, facilities management, operations, or a trade.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites.

As a Maintenance Planner, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and long-term infrastructure planning for Return-It’s national network of depots and return vending machines. Your work will ensure that our locations remain safe, compliant, and aligned with organisational and sustainability goals.

This role plays a key part in the development and execution of strategic asset plans while ensuring operational uptime, cost efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. You’ll work closely with contractors, internal stakeholders, and vendors to drive continuous improvement across equipment and facilities.

About the role:

• Previous experience with MEX or similar CMMS highly desirable
• Working knowledge of WHS and environmental compliance obligations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and external service providers.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Competence in analysing maintenance and performance data.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, facilities management, operations, or a trade (preferred).
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites as needed.
