Job summary

The Arnott’s Group is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join the afternoon shift in Sydney, NSW. You will maintain electrical systems across an automated production environment, troubleshoot PLCs (especially Allen Bradley), and perform planned and preventive maintenance to ensure continuous operation.

The role requires hands-on electrical expertise, familiarity with automation systems, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Australian Electrical Licence and post-trade qualifications.
• Hands-on experience with PLC systems, especially Allen Bradley.
• Familiarity with Citect SCADA is highly advantageous.
• Experience with Safety PLCs, VSDs, and Servo Drives for safe operation.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
• Respond quickly to plant breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance to improve reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-based automation and process control.
• Document breakdown logs in SAP and manage follow-up maintenance tasks.

About the Role:

We are actively seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our afternoon shift team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of all electrical systems and equipment. This role demands not only technical proficiency but also the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. You’ll be responsible for a range of tasks, from troubleshooting to executing planned corrective actions, along with preventive and breakdown maintenance.

We’re seeking someone who can thrive both independently and as part of a team, contributing to the reliability and continuous improvement of our automated production environment. A deep understanding of electrical principles and automated systems is essential.

What your days look like:

• Ensure the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment and systems to support uninterrupted operations.
• Respond promptly to plant breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring timely resolution of electrical issues.
• Execute planned and preventive maintenance work orders to optimize equipment reliability and performance.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on PLC systems to ensure smooth automation and process control.
• Generate and manage notifications for follow-up maintenance tasks and document breakdown logs in SAP for accurate tracking and future reference

• Hold a recognised Australian Electrical License, complemented by relevant post-trade qualifications.
• Possess hands-on experience with PLC systems and automated plant operations, with a focus on Allen Bradley systems.
• Familiarity with Citect systems is highly advantageous, enhancing your capacity to optimise plant performance.
• Experience working with Safety PLCs, Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), and Servo Drives to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.
• Experience with SAP is an asset, contributing to streamlined maintenance tracking and reporting.
