Job summary

Visy is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our reliability team in Sydney, Australia, supporting a fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect equipment, and troubleshoot faults in plant systems to ensure continuous production.

Electrical license (A Grade) and PLC knowledge are essential. You will work in a collaborative team, with shift incentives and EAP support, contributing to a sustainable circular economy and ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must hold A Grade Electrical license.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing.
• Able to read electrical schematics.
• Strong PLC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and electrical servicing of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults in plant systems, glassmaking machinery, and production lines.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical infrastructure, including control and PLC systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to address urgent repairs and enhance system reliability.
• Work independently and proactively while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Uphold and promote a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace.

Job description

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be part of our reliability team, supporting our production team covering operational requirements to ensure that we maintain a reliable and productive manufacturing facility.

What you'll do

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and electrical servicing of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults in plant systems, glassmaking machinery, and production lines.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical infrastructure, including control and PLC systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to address urgent repairs and enhance system reliability.
• Work independently and proactively while contributing effectively within a team environment.

What you will bring to the team:

• A background as a Maintenance Electrician or Electrical Technician - A Grade Electrical.
• Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume environment while maintaining required safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical schematics/drawings.
• A good understanding of PLC systems and the technologies used in production
