Job summary

Alspec in Brisbane, Australia, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team. You will work on rotating shifts across production equipment to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

You will perform routine tests, respond to electrical faults, replace worn components and update schematics while supporting continuous improvement on site. Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs and safety protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Electrician.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and industrial applications.
• Proficiency with motor controls and variable frequency drives.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

About the Role

Working on a rotating shift and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency. You will work across a variety of industrial machinery while supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the site.
