Job summary

Glencore invites applications for a Maintainer Mechanical to join the Mine’s dynamic maintenance team. Reporting to the Workshop HME Maintenance Crew Supervisor, you will perform breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance and diagnostics on heavy mobile equipment.

This role supports a 7/7 12.5‑hour shift cycle and offers on-site village accommodation. We seek a qualified tradesperson with 3+ years in mining and proven repair experience on haul trucks, loaders, graders, dozers and water trucks.

Qualifications

• Qualified tradesperson with 3+ years’ experience in the mining industry.
• Proven experience in service and repair of heavy mobile equipment (HME) including haul trucks, loaders, motor graders, dozers and water trucks.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown field roles and perform safe, efficient repair and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment.
• Support the team to deliver cost effective and reliable performance against key deliverables.
• Undertake preventative and breakdown maintenance, servicing, component replacements and overhauls.
• Conduct general repairs and fault diagnostics.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Maintainer Mechanical to join our dynamic and successful team. As a key member of the team and reporting directly to the Workshop HME Maintenance Crew Supervisor, this multifaceted role will see you undertaking:

• Breakdown field roles
• Safe and efficient repair and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment
• Supporting the team to deliver cost effective and reliable performance against key deliverables
• Undergoing preventative and breakdown maintenance, servicing, component replacements, component overhauls
• General repairs
• Fault diagnostics

About the Candidate

To be successful in this role, you are a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic team environment, qualified tradesperson with 3+ years’ experience in the Mining industry and proven experience in the service and repair of HME equipment including haul trucks, loaders, motor graders, dozers and water trucks. You will be a solution focused professional who is responsive, intuitive, innovative and passionate about driving continuous improvement of equipment performance.

Commercial Flight Support is available per written request for senior staff members and above, for flights from Mackay (MKY) to Brisbane (BNE) return.
