Job summary

Glencore Australia is seeking a qualified tradesperson to breakdown field roles and perform safe, efficient repair and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment. You will support the team to deliver reliable performance, undertake preventative and breakdown maintenance, and carry out component replacements and fault diagnostics.

Experience in servicing haul trucks, loaders, motor graders, dozers and water trucks is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified tradesperson with 3+ years' experience in the mining industry.
• Experience in service and repair of heavy mobile equipment including haul trucks, loaders, motor graders, dozers and water trucks.

About The Candidate

To be successful in this role, you are a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic team environment, qualified tradesperson with 3+ years' experience in the Mining industry and proven experience in the service and repair of HME equipment including haul trucks, loaders, motor graders, dozers and water trucks. You will be a solution focused professional who is responsive, intuitive, innovative and passionate about driving continuous improvement of equipment performance.

This role is a wonderful opportunity for you no matter your circumstance. You will have the option to either live locally in one of the communities that surround our operation or stay on site in our amazing village. We are only a one and quarter hour drive from the beautiful Mackay hinterland and a two- and half-hour drive from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands and have a diverse group of people at our operation commuting from multiple locations in Queensland such as Rockhampton and Townsville, to name a few. Commercial Flight Support is available per written request for senior staff members and above, for flights from Mackay (MKY) to Brisbane (BNE) return.
