Job summary

Whitehaven Coal is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintainer to join the Narrabri CHPP maintenance team. You will undertake mechanical maintenance on shift, collaborating with your crew and supporting safety procedures.

Qualifications include mechanical trade certification with boilermaker advantageous; experience with process plant equipment such as conveyors, pumps, screens and feeders is preferred. Relocation packages are offered.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade certification; boilermaker advantageous.
• Experience with heights / confined space / gas testing.
• Experience with process plant and equipment including conveyors, pumps, reclaim tunnels and valves, vibrating screens and feeders.

Responsibilities

• Undertake mechanical maintenance activities on shift as needed.
• Work collaboratively with crew members and be a positive influence in high performance behaviour in the workplace.
• Support site HSEC policy and procedures, following safe work procedures as set out for the work process.
• Inspection of the work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects.
• Contribute to improvement projects around the CHPP.

About The Role
