Job summary

IT Alliance is seeking a Senior Developer for a Federal Government client with postings across Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide. The role focuses on leading software design, establishing standards, and ensuring secure, maintainable code. Mainframe experience is advantageous.

The successful candidate will drive architectural decisions, mentor teams, and contribute to long-term product strategy while working with a Federal Government client in a dynamic multi-city environment.

One of our Federal Government clients is looking for Senior Developer in Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide.

We are looking for the following Skills/Experience:

• Lead and create software and technical designs for the realisation of highly complex development solutions.
• Develop strategy to ensure high quality code and long-term maintenance of a product’s code base.
• Measures and monitors applications of project/team standards for software construction, including software security.
• Ability to work in a Mainframe environment, with COBOL/Adabas Natural or other mainframe languages being an advantage.
• Undertake objective, systematic analysis and draw accurate conclusions based on evidence.
• Designs large or complex systems and undertakes impact analysis on major design options and trade-offs.
