Job summary

Lite n’ Easy is seeking a Software Development Lead to join our Brisbane ICT team. You will head a team of 5 developers, guide technical delivery, and drive best practices across the full development cycle.

This hands-on leadership role blends strategy with code-focused mentoring to support operational excellence and growth. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in web/app development, 5+ years leading teams, strong Microsoft stack experience, and familiarity with Next.js, Storyblok and Vercel.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Proficient in Java/J2EE/JEE, Vue.JS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, SOAP, XML, EJB 3, JPA.
• Application Development: Full-stack development including front-end and back-end with secure authentication flows.
• Development Methodologies: Strong SDLC/Agile, CI/CD, unit testing (JUnit).
• Analytical & Collaborative: Able to analyze requirements and deliver minimal-defect solutions with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 5 developers.
• Enforce coding standards across the development cycle.
• Manage timelines from concept to launch with cross-functional teams.
• Balance Agile/Waterfall and BAU tasks to deliver initiatives.
• Ensure application reliability, performance, and security.
