Job summary

PPG is seeking a Territory Manager to cover Mackay and surrounding areas as part of the Refinish team. You will drive profitability by cultivating partnerships, expanding key customers, and identifying new business opportunities.

Reporting to the Queensland Business Manager, the role focuses on achieving sales targets and building a strong distributor network. The ideal candidate has sales experience with a client-focused approach, plus knowledge of refinish and industrial paint products.

Qualifications

• Sales experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• A strong emphasis on customer service is required.
• Proficiency in technical knowledge of refinish & industrial paint products and application techniques is desirable.
• Having prior experience with competitor products can be advantageous.
• Possessing a trade qualification in spray painting and refinish industry is desirable. Additionally, having negotiation and presentation skills is important.

Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and yearly sales goals and financial plans.
• Oversee and supervise debtors/accounts receivable in accordance with PPG accounts policy.
• Identify opportunities and expand in underrepresented segments and geographies.
• Assist distributor sales activities and ensure accurate recommendation and application of products while adhering to EH&S procedures.
• Establish strong connections with PPG personnel and Distribution Network.
• Enhance share of wallet and monitor growth of current customers and distributors.
• Follow pricing initiatives to provide necessary profit contribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Recognise users of competitive brands and create tactics to gain entry to showcase the advantages of using Refinish and LIC Commercial Performance Coatings products.
• Assist distributor sales activities and ensure accurate recommendation and application of products while adhering to proper EH&S procedures.
• Establish strong connections with PPG personnel and Distribution Network.
• Enhance share of wallet, monitor, and assess growth of current customers and distributors.
• Follow pricing initiatives/policies to provide the necessary profit contribution.
• Establish and maintain strong connections with key customers and industry groups.
• Identify opportunities and execute plans to expand in underrepresented segments and geographies.

Skills And Experience
